NOTE: A lot of thought went into the choice of this picture. You might not think it did but it did. I wanted something with birds and Tweety Bird would be the obvious choice but rifling through Tweety photos is… well, try it yourself and tell me it doesn’t make you feel ugh. Too many cheap cutesy watches and birthday cakes. Not enough nifty celluloid artwork from the 1940s. Thankfully I remembered Rescuers Down Under and that scene where Marahute, the giant bird, is flying amongst a bunch of smaller birds and it fit my birds brief nicely without me having to resort to Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds which I never liked. I tried finding some bird that fit the brief of Pop Culture and the Third World but it was just too hard. Anyway, follow @popthirdworld please. On Twitter you can rest assured I won’t rant for this long.
